23 Ways to Use EFT Tapping to Improve Your Life

I've been an EFT practitioner for over 10 years now, and I'm still learning new ways to use this incredibly powerful tool. I hope you'll try out these different ways of using it. I think you'll be amazed by the countless positive changes it will bring to your life.

1) Recover from Losing a Loved One

Tapping out the pain of loss is incredibly effective. It’s amazing to me how quickly my clients go from inconsolable grief to acceptance and peace, saying things like, “Now I can look at a picture of my late husband without crying, and without even feeling sad. When I think of him, it’s just happy memories that come to mind.”

If you’ve lost a loved one, I hope you’ll use tapping to release the pain your loss is causing you. Click here for tapping resources that I’ve created to help you recover from loss.

    2) Heal Trauma (Including PTSD)

Like grief, trauma dissolves very quickly with tapping. This is true for every kind of trauma, no matter how big or seemingly small. And once it’s been released, the wide-reaching of effects of the trauma will also be gone, and will no longer be able to affect you. Here’s an article that will help guide you in releasing the pain from traumatic memories.

    3) Overcome a Fear

Fears are no match for the gentle power of tapping! Once the roots of a fear have been identified and released, the fear itself can be dissolved. If you have a fear that keeps you up at night, or otherwise stresses you out, I hope you’ll apply the great eraser of EFT to it. Here’s a step-by-step guide.

    4) Remove a Limiting Belief

Limiting beliefs have incredible power to hold us back in every area of our lives. They have detrimental effects on our self-esteem, relationships, finances, health, careers, and more.

To help you identify and release some of your limiting beliefs, I’ve created this tapping script. Click here to go to it now.

    5) Skyrocket Your Confidence

Using EFT tapping to increase confidence is a multi-step process of uncovering, identifying, and tapping out the imprints of painful experiences that have made us feel bad about ourselves (like being yelled at by a parent or bullied by a sibling or classmate), as well as the limiting and false beliefs that these experiences have given rise to.

It’s amazing how much brighter people shine, how much better they feel, and how much more they’re suddenly capable of achieving once they’ve completed this healing process.

Here’s a tapping script to guide you.

    6) Release Anger

Anger is a normal, natural, and even healthy part of life, but when we get stuck in it, it doesn’t serve us or anyone else. Here’s a guide to using EFT to break free from toxic anger.

    7) Forgive Someone

EFT is the only way I know of to truly, deeply, authentically forgive someone who you feel has hurt or wronged you. Here’s a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process.

    8) Forgive Yourself

Forgiving ourselves for mistakes we’ve made is every bit as important as forgiving others for their misdeeds. This article will guide you through the process of using tapping to forgive anyone, including yourself.

    9) Release Regrets

Regrets are a painful and often counterproductive part of life. They have their lessons to teach us, but once we’ve learned those lessons, in order to be at peace, we need to break free from the pain of regrets. Here’s how.

    10) Reduce Stress

Stress is normal, but when it’s chronic (as it is for most people these days), it has a major negative impact on our health and quality of life. Here’s a tapping script to help you tap away toxic stress.

    11) Release Feelings of Overwhelm

Like stress, overwhelm has myriad harmful effects. Thankfully, when we use tapping to release feelings of overwhelm, not only do we feel better, but we also often feel like we’ve somehow been given more bandwidth for getting things done, as well as more hours in the day in which to do them.

To see what I mean, I recommend tapping your way through this script.

    12) Reduce Anxiety

Anxiety is often caused by the painful imprints of past trauma, as well as fears, limiting beliefs, and just plain old stress. Here are three tapping resources to help reduce anxiety and increase feelings of peace and well-being:

    14) Release Your Inner Blocks to Success

To get a start on this multi-step process, I recommend my tapping script for limiting beliefs, as well as my tapping script for limiting beliefs about the self.

    15) Achieve Your Goals

Releasing your inner blocks to success isn’t the only thing you need to do to use EFT to achieve your goals. It’s also necessary to apply tapping to the goals themselves. There are many different steps to this.

Soon I’ll be releasing a new offering called The Tapping into Success Coaching Program, which I've designed to guide you, step-by-step, through this entire, life-changing process. Stay tuned!

    16) Overcome Money Blocks

Money blocks have profound and myriad effects on people. The process of clearing them not only increases your earning power, but also frees you from the residual effects of painful experiences in your past, as well as the fears and limiting beliefs that spring out of them. This article will give you solid tips on how to do it.

    17) Improve Your Self-Esteem

Self-esteem issues can have numerous causes. Traumatic experiences are nearly always part of the picture, and often self-esteem issues of parents or other caregivers figure into it, as well. Thankfully, none of this is any match for the transformative power of tapping. Here are two tapping scripts to help you boost your feelings of self worth:

    18) Heal Relationship Issues

It’s amazing how much our relationships shift when we tap out our own feelings about the other people in our lives. This article will guide you in using tapping to improve any relationship in your life.

    19) Recover from a Professional Setback

When things don’t go our away in our work life, the effects can be far-reaching. It can cause our confidence to shrink, as well as give rise to new fears and limiting beliefs that keep us from being successful in our future endeavors. I wrote this article to help ensure that this doesn't happen to you.

    20) Overcome Writer’s Block

Writer’s block is such a huge issue for many writers (even very successful ones), that it’s something they live in constant fear of, as though it were a terrifying monster that could return at any time. If you suffer from writer’s block (or the fear of it), tapping will dissolve it.

I don’t have any tapping resources that are specifically for writer’s block, but I think you’ll find my article on how to combine tapping with journaling to be very helpful. Yes, I'm recommending writing to help you get over writer's block!

Simply focus on your thoughts and feelings about writer’s block as you do the exercise. I think the results will surprise and delight you. Here’s the article.

    21) Release an Insecurity

We all have insecurities of one kind or another. When skillfully applied, tapping will make yours disappear, with the added benefit of also clearing out whatever painful experience(s) caused the insecurity in the first place. I recommend using my article, How to Combine the Healing Power of Journaling with EFT to write about your insecurity and then tap it out. You might also have a look at my tapping script for releasing limiting beliefs about the self. It's here.

    22) Recover from a Painful Divorce or Breakup

This tapping script will help you identify and release your painful feelings about what happened so that you can move on with your life feeling peaceful, empowered and strong. If you weren’t married to the person, simply modify the wording in then tapping statements.

    23) Release Old Patterns That Aren’t Serving You (Like Being Defensive, Self-Destructive, Judgmental, or Critical)

This is usually a multi-step process which involves uncovering, identifying, and releasing past traumas, fears, and belief systems we’ve developed over a lifetime. As this is a broader topic, I don’t have a specific tapping resource for it. Just know that if you have patterns that you want to become free from, tapping will help you do it, quickly and permanently.

When doing EFT tapping on your own, if you aren't able to completely heal the issue you're working on, so that when you think about it, it no longer causes any stress, emotional pain, anger, or fear, I recommend working with a professional EFT practitioner. Every fear is rooted in something. Sometimes it's a traumatic event, sometimes it's a belief, and sometimes it's a combination of both. In order to release the fear, you have to identify and release what gave rise to it. Here's how:

There's no getting around it. Grief is an integral part of life. Even if you've never lost a loved one, no doubt you've lost something else that was important to you. Maybe it was a home, a job, your health, a period in your life, or a prized possession. And if you haven't yet lost a loved one, chances are you will.

Are you hurting about an event from your past and are not quite sure how to release it with EFT? Here's an easy to follow list of steps to guide you through the process:

    1) Name the memory. For example: My husband cheated on me.

    2) Give a number between 0 and 10 to the emotional intensity you experience when you feel into this memory.

    3) Now put the memory title into an EFT set-up statement...

As long as we're carrying the past around inside us (which is just what happens to us as human beings--it's not a choice, and it's not our fault), it will continue to affect our present day lives--the choices we make, how we see the world, and the extent to which we're able to realize our potential.

Though the weight of our emotional baggage can feel overwhelming at times, there is a fin...

One of the easiest ways to bring your feelings to the surface to be named, tapped out, and...
