Tapping Script for Releasing Stress & Fear
About the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
It’s normal to experience stress and fear about a global health crisis. This is true whether you’re experiencing the outbreak directly, or whether you’ve only heard about it on the news.
However, if or when fears and worries about the coronavirus are stealing focus from your work, family, or other priorities, or causing you to lose sleep, it’s a good idea to do some tapping.
This will not only improve your well-being and outlook, it can also boost your immunity. That's because stress raises cortisol levels, and elevated cortisol lowers immunity. EFT has been clinically proven to reduce cortisol in the body.
The statements in this script address a wide variety of fears, worries, and stresses about the COVID-19 outbreak, including fears about you are your loved ones contracting the disease, fears about the economic impact of the pandemic, worries about quarantines, and more.
HOW TO USE THIS SCRIPT
As with all of my tapping scripts, these statements can be used as is, or modified in any way that makes them resonate more fully with your experience. Some of them will fit for you, and some will not. Just use the ones that fit your experience and have an emotional charge.
You may notice that when you start tapping on these statements, thoughts and feelings will arise that you can then turn into new tapping statements, which will then give rise to still more thoughts and feelings, which you can use to create additional tapping statements, and so on.
I call this following the thread, and it’s a very efficient way to heal and release a lot of painful feelings in a short amount of time.
Before you start tapping on a statement, give it a number between 0 and 10 which indicates the level of fear, stress, or concern that the statement brings up for you. Then, do your best to tap on the statement until it is a 0, which means all of the emotional charge is gone.
There is a lot of material here! I recommend spending anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes on this, but not more than that. That means you’ll only have time to tap out a small number of the statements on this script in one session.
If you’re thorough, and tap things down to 0, you’ll likely feel MUCH better after tapping out just a few of them. You can attend to other ones at another time.
When doing EFT tapping on your own, if you aren't able to completely heal the issue you're working on, so that when you think about it, it no longer causes any stress, emotional pain, anger, or fear, I recommend working with a professional EFT practitioner. THE TAPPING STATEMENTS
I’m afraid that one or more of my loved ones will get the coronavirus.
I’m afraid that one or more of my loved ones will die from the coronavirus.
I’m afraid that my child is going to get the coronavirus.
I’m afraid that the coronavirus will cause one or more of my loved ones to suffer.
I have loved ones who are at high-risk of dying from the coronavirus.
Because of my age/medical conditions, I’m at high-risk for complications and death, and that scares me.
I’m afraid I’m going to get it and it’s going to kill me.
I’m afraid the outbreak will cause my country and the world to slide into economic catastrophe.
All the news about the coronavirus is making it hard for me to focus on my work.
I’m afraid my child’s school will be closed, which would be hard to deal with.
I’m afraid the outbreak will cause my business slump.
I'm worried about having to miss work because of quarantines, and then I'll lose my job.
I'm afraid quarantines will cause me to lose income that I really need.
My government has said everyone should work from home, but there’s no way for me to do that, which is frustrating and scary.
I’m afraid my child’s school being closed will mean his/her graduation will be postponed.
I’m afraid everyone will be quarantined and I won’t be able to see my friends or family for a long time.
I’m afraid of quarantines being really boring and lonely.
I’m afraid my government will take draconian quarantine measures like China’s did.
I’m afraid the outbreak is going to disrupt my routine.
I’m afraid the outbreak will cause my company to go out of business.
I’m afraid [insert name of loved one here] won’t survive the outbreak.
I’m afraid supply chain disruptions will mean I can’t get the prescription drugs that I take on a regular basis.
I’m afraid local hospitals will be overwhelmed with coronavirus cases and if I have to go to one, I won’t be able to get the care I need.
I’ve heard that the coronavirus can cause permanent lung damage, and that scares me.
I’ve heard that the coronavirus can damage the heart, and that scares me.
I’ve heard and seen online some scary things about the coronavirus in other parts of the world.
I’m afraid the outbreak will make it impossible to travel when and where I want to.
My kids have to stay home from school because of the outbreak, and it’s hard to keep them occupied while still getting my work done.
It’s hard to explain what’s happening to my kids without scaring them.
The way my government is dealing with the outbreak is really frustrating.
The way my government is dealing with the outbreak is putting lives at risk.
