Tapping Script for Releasing the Fear of Failure

Worried Woman Laptop 10_5_23.png

Fear of failure is expensive. It shows up in many forms, and it has the power to hold you back, keep you stuck, and even totally prevent you from ever achieving your goals and realizing your dreams.

It sounds like:

  • I’m afraid I’ll never achieve my goal of making $300,000 a year.

  • If I launch my online course and it doesn’t sell, people will judge me.

  • People from backgrounds like mine don’t have successful businesses, so why bother even trying?

  • What if I give everything I’ve got to achieving my business goals, and I still can’t get my business to fly?

Identifying and releasing your fear of failure will help you to get unstuck and finally make the income and impact you’re truly capable of.

Here's why:

  • Fear of failure is paralyzing.

  • Fear of failure makes you play small.

  • Fear of failure blinds you to opportunities that are literally right in front of your face.

  • Fear of failure keeps you from taking the actions which would actually help you to achieve your goals.

Thankfully, your fear of failure, in whatever forms it takes, is no match for the gentle power of EFT.

If you know how to uncover, unpack, and tap it out, you can erase your fear of failure so that it can no longer keep you from achieving your goals and realizing your dreams.

In this tapping script, I've unpacked the most common aspects of  the fear of failure, so that all you have to do is tap them out.

So let’s get tapping!

HOW TO USE THIS TAPPING SCRIPT

As with all of my tapping scripts, these statements can be used as is, or modified in any way that makes them resonate more fully with your experience.

Some of them will fit for you, and some will not. Just use the ones that fit your experience and have an emotional charge.

You may notice that when you start tapping on these statements, thoughts and feelings will arise that you can then turn into new tapping statements, which will then give rise to still more thoughts and feelings, which you can use to create additional tapping statements, and so on.

I call this following the thread, and it’s a very efficient way to heal and release a lot of painful feelings in a short amount of time.

Before you start tapping on a statement, give it a number between 0 and 10 which indicates the level of fear, stress, or concern that the statement brings up for you.

Then, do your best to tap on the statement until it is a 0, which means all of the emotional charge is gone.

There is a lot of material here! I recommend spending anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes on this, but not more than that.

That means you’ll only have time to tap out a small number of the statements on this script in one session.

If you’re thorough, and tap things down to 0, you’ll likely feel MUCH better after tapping out just a few of them. You can attend to other ones at another time.

PLEASE NOTE

When doing EFT tapping on your own, if you aren't able to completely heal the issue you're working on, so that when you think about it, it no longer causes any stress, emotional pain, anger, or fear, I recommend working with a professional EFT practitioner. THE TAPPING STATEMENTS

I’m afraid that if I really try to achieve my goal of __________________ [fill in the blank with your goal], I will fail.

If I try to achieve this goal, and fail, people will judge me.

If I try to achieve this goal, and fail, I’ll be humiliated.

If I try to achieve this goal, and fail, I’ll be crushed.

It’s easier not to try at all than it is to face the possibility of failure.

My family’s well-being depends on whether I acheive this goal, and I’m so afraid that I’ll fail.

I’m afraid that I don’t have what it takes to achieve this goal.

I’m so afraid that I’ll fail if I really try to achieve this goal that I can’t even get myself to try.

I feel paralyzed by this fear of failure.

All of the ways that I’ve tried to achieve this goal have failed, so I’m afraid that I’ll just never achieve it.

I’ll never achieve this goal because I’m destined to be a failure.

I’ll never be able to achieve this goal because it’s my destiny to struggle throughout my entire life.

I’m afraid I won’t be able to achieve this goal because I’m not smart enough.

I’m afraid that I won’t be able to achieve this goal because no one believes in me.

I don’t know how to believe in myself when no one else believes in me.

I’m afraid that I won’t be able to achieve my goals because I’m too young.

I’m afraid that I won’t be able to achieve my goals because I’m too old.

I’m afraid that I won’t be able to achieve my goals because I’m too tall.

I’m afraid that I won’t be able to achieve my goals because I’m too short.

I’m afraid that I’m not thin enough to achieve this goal.

I’m afraid that I’m not attractive enough to achieve this goal.

I’ve never been able to achieve this goal in the past, so I’m afraid that means that it’s just not possible for me to achieve it.

Deep down, I’m convinced that if I really give my best effort to achieving this goal, I will fail.

I feel like I’m paralyzed by this fear of failure.

I have so many ideas for how I can achieve this goal, but fear of failure keeps me from taking action on any of them.

Deep down, I feel like I’ve always been a failure, and I always will be.

I’m really afraid that I’ll fail at trying to achieve this goal, and then I’ll disappoint my partner.

I’m afraid that I’ll fail at trying to achieve this goal, and then I’ll disappoint my child(ren).

I’m afraid that I’ll fail at trying to achieve this goal, and then I’ll disappoint my boss.

I’m afraid that I’ll fail at trying to achieve this goal, and then I’ll disappoint my parents.

I’m afraid that I’ll fail at trying to achieve this goal, and then I’ll disappoint my mom.

I’m afraid that I’ll fail at trying to achieve this goal, and then I’ll disappoint my dad.

I’m afraid that I’ll fail at trying to achieve this goal, and then I’ll disappoint my coach.

I’m afraid that I’ll fail at trying to achieve this goal, and then I’ll disappoint my teacher.

I’m afraid that I’ll fail at trying to achieve this goal, and then I’ll disappoint my family.

I’m afraid that I’ll fail at trying to achieve this goal, and then I’ll disappoint myself.

Achieving this goal would change my whole life for the better, and I’m so afraid that I will fail.

The pressure to succeed is making me feel so afraid that I will fail.

What if I give everything I’ve got to achieving this goal, and I fail?

If I try as hard as I can to achieve this goal, and then I fail, I’ll feel so defeated.
